Hot Tub Prices To Expect
It is said that nothing in life is free, and that the only certainties are death and taxes. Well, when it comes to spas and Jacuzzis, you can be certain that hot tub prices will be a reflection of their size, design and quality. The main question you have to resolve is just what you are willing to pay for your spa.
As with so many other items for sale, hot tub prices vary based on a number of factors. There can be large-scale issues, such as the overall economy; and then there can be something as simple as the local market. The time of year can play a part as well; some companies look to offer discounts and sales around Christmas or the summer. A key aspect can be how well (or poorly) the local dealers are doing. It is said that summer is the perfect time to buy a car; supplies are up, and many people are away on vacation. So, watch the newspapers for trends in sales of hot tubs. If you live up north, you may find that the middle of winter is the perfect time to buy a Jacuzzi. Yeah, you will have to wait to use it (if you put it up outside), but that is a small price to pay if you get a good deal.
So, okay, you want to find out what sort of hot tub prices are out there. Fair question. The best place to start is the Internet. By using any of several fine search engines, such as Yahoo, Google or Ask.com, you can get yourself a full listing of spa and Jacuzzi manufacturers and dealers. Next, take a look at the models they offer. A company (for example) like Coleman has prices of hot tubs that vary from as little as $3,000 to as high as $20,000. That is quite the range! A good, basic model will run you right around $5,000 to $7,000.
When looking at hot tub prices, be sure to check for what exactly that price includes. If you are talking to a dealer about their hot tub prices, ask a few questions. Does that price include delivery and assembly? What about secondary parts: ladders, grab rails? Remember that a Jacuzzi needs chemicals to maintain the water at the correct pH, temperature etc. So, you will need those chemicals, plus a test kit, and a thermometer. Ask the dealer if they have factored all of those into the price listing.
Now, on the other hand, if you are dealing with an online firm, their prices should give you a complete breakdown of what is included. If not, be wary; and either call or e-mail them to get details. You do not want a situation where you buy (what you think is) a great deal, and then find out all you are getting is the liner! Also, check out what they charge for shipping and handling, and any applicable sale taxes. If those are not included in the hot tub prices, you may end up paying a lot more than you were expecting.
