Make The Most Of Your Hot Tub With Accessories

When you buy a hot tub, that is not the end of your purchase; there are a whole host of hot tub accessories available. Now, some are optional, but there are also some accessories that you will really need to keep around. We will look at both, but let us examine the important (needed) ones first.   A hot tub, by definition, is hot. So, one of, if not the most important hot tub accessories is a thermometer. You can get the floating variety of thermometer; some even come as a decorative fish or other playful item. The point is, you need to keep careful track of the temperature in the tub. The last thing you want is anyone getting injured by bounding into a tub that is way too hot. You can also pick up a temperature alarm. It is a very handy hot tub accessory, and will reduce the chance of burns. Next, a scum absorber is handy. Unfortunately, scum and other particulates are bound to collect in your tub; so you will need to deal with them.   Safety needs to be your prime concern. So, a couple of hot tub accessories you need to invest in are: hand rails or safety rails, and a test kit. There is that old warning: slippery when wet. Well, with a hot tub, you are going to have water everywhere. So, a few railings placed in the right spots will do the trick. Then, there is the chemical balance of the tub. A test kit will allow you to monitor the water's composition and adjust it as necessary. Of course, that brings up the final important hot tub accessory: chemicals. Check with your dealer and the instruction manual. They will guide you as to what chemicals you need to keep on hand, and how to use them.   Now we come to the fun part; the recreational hot tub accessories. Soaking in a hot tub is fine, but some people can get bored just sitting there. So, look at getting some things to liven it up. A nice drink tray will allow you to serve refreshments. Some pillows will let people get comfortable. A booster seat cushion will be appreciated by any kids (or small adults) who use the tub. There are companies that make playing cards that you can use in the tub. There is a great hot tub accessory. Think of the fun you can have; sitting and whiling away the afternoon as you play gin rummy or bridge. There are also numerous other games available. Do a quick search online, and you will find a plethora of recreational activities that are specially designed for use in a hot tub.   A hand held jet is also a nice hot tub accessory; it lets you get those massaging streams of water right where you need them. Then, a couple of towel bars are also handy. While not a necessity, they do make life just a bit easier. So, check with your dealer, or do a search online, and you will find more than enough accessories to make yours perfect for you.
